Description
Sweet and colorful, these make wonderful decorations as well as dinner. Our Gill’s Golden Pippin yellow acorn squash are very similar to the striped delicatas. Both are sweet, nutty, and have tender skins. Typically I slice them in half lengthwise and scoop out the seeds. I either roast the halves face down in a pan with a bit of water or slice them into half moons, toss with oil, and roast them on a sheet pan. Store at room temperature or use as a decoration until you’re ready to eat them.
Price is for 1 larger or 2 smaller squash, around 2 pounds.
